Cannot install Windows 2000 on Laptop ?

Hello.., this morning i was going to Format and Put on Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4 and when it was Loading The Files it came up with a STOP error message as Below:

" *** STOP: 0x000000A5 (0x00000003, 0x82AB5670, 0xC0000034, 0x494E495F )

The Bios in this System is not Fully ACPI compliant Please contact your system vendor.. blah blah blah

Does anyone know What the problem is or how do i make it Fully ACPI compliant ?

It could be many things. Do you have anything hooked up to it while you try this? Do you have the latest version for you BIOS? Why not jsut install XP? How old is the laptop? What are its specs?
