I don't know whether to place this question in the Mac section or this, so I thought that since the problem is on a PC I decided to ask here.
I have a Mac and apple has this beautiful option with the desktop pictures. You can create a slide show like desktop background which looks really awesome. So awesome in fact that my sister wants me to do that on hers, but I don't know how to do it on her PC.

Is there anyway I can replicate this on her PC? Should this question be in the Apple discussion?
Your help is appreciated. Thank you.

Vista has Dreamscene which can do something like this but only with Ultimate. Windows 7 has teh slideshow which will change your wallpaper every set amount of time.

XP you will have to find a 3rd party software to do this.

She has Vista Home Premium on her Toshiba. She hasn't done any upgrading or anything, just wants to have a neat background like mine.

BTW, what is Windows 7

Okay what do you mean by neat background? Cause i can have a still image that is neat. You need to give a better explanation as to what you are trying to do. Cause just saying you want a neat background is to generic. There are thousands of neat wallpapers out there. It all depends on your preference.

Do you want a still image? Do you want a slide show? Do you want something like dreamscene which plays something like a movie file?

The pictures don't matter, she will use her own pictures, but she wants me to create a slideshow effect made of still images on the desktop so that it constantly changes pictures.

ooh, .gif's as a background..? ouch

Advise you not to use that one unless the pictures are realy rubbish quality.
If the picture has more than 256 colours, it will look quite bad

Holy cow! It costs 50 bucks for that dreamscape? I don't think my sister will be glad to hear that. I will see what she says.
