it require nlite and a regular version of xp. Microsuck has refuse to make a sp3 disc of mce 2005. they had issues on net framework 2.0 and some other things and right now they just don't care to do it.

but you can integrate this stuff in a regular xp cd with nlite and a media center add on pack..

it technically legal since you already have a legit version of xp and they have given up on the support of mce

Yeah. By all means. Like you said it requires a legit version of XP to accomplish. So go for it. Will make it a sticky as well.
