i just did a defrag and the file memory.dmp couldn't be degragged. not too long ago i had a blue screeen and physical memory dump and was wondering if this file was from that. If so can I delete this file safely? Its 511mb and if I don't need it I want to get rid of that 1/2gig of crap I don't need.

Memory.dmp is a file created when your Windows crashed. It is for
professional technician to use specific tool to diagnose the problem

It shouldn't hurt to delete the file.

You can run DRWTSN32 from the run box and uncheck all of the boxes and it will prevent it from saving all info when you computer crashes therefore prevent it from recreating the file next time it crashes.
