can find cmos in this mobo help me out

im trying to reset cmos in this mobo its inside of a hp 504n if anyone can locate for me thatll be helpful.

F2 or Delete on boot up to enter BIOS/CMOS

or you can pull the battery for five minutes and put it back in. It is round and looks kinda like a watch batery.

thats the thing the monitor is shown black and i need to reset the cmos. the battery on this mobo is placed sideways and when i pulled it out i forgot which side goes with which. the plus sign of the battery facing the psu? or the - sign facing the psu?

i see where the battery is but i thought that the cmos setting on this mobo would be with the 3 pins. and by resetting putting the jumper on 1-2 then back to 2-3

thats true, you dont see it anywhere?

you can do pins as well usuall there are three of them with 2 having the jumper. switching to the one not used and the other will clear cmos as well but the old battery trick is easier if you dont know exact jumper location. the part of the battery with writing is the part that stays up.

the jumpers should be labled so look for three with something like clearcmos imbedded nest to them
