My computer boots fine until it hits the blue screen where you choose to log on (Admin or other users) I'll try logging in, but soon after, the whole computer reboots and it doesn't seem to be able to access the desktop menu. I think I may have a virus. I tried booting it in safemode and other ways, but it doesn't work. Suggestions on how to fix it? Anyone with similar experience? Or is my hard drive no good? thanks

Try this:

When you boot up, before the Windows logo loading screen but after hte BIOS splash screen, rapidly press F8. A boot menu should appear. Pick "Disable reboot on system failure". Your PC will reboot and let it load like normal. Try to log in. If a BSOD (blue screen of death) comes up, give us the info found in this thread:

I've tried that before and all I got was this:

Windows Advances Options menu
Please select an option

Safe mode
safe mode with networking
safe mode with command prompt

Enable Boot logging
enable vga mode
Last known good config
directory services restore mode
debugging mode

start windows normally
reboot
return to OS choices menu

I then choose one and it gives me an options to boot from XP home edition
or recovery console.
I click xp and this is when the problem happens again
