can some one plzzz help me... i turned on my computer and now everything i open a message pops up saying: the file directory c:\$mft is corrupt and unreadable. plz run the chkdsk utility.
i dont have a regedit now.. i cant access it, i no longer have a cmd prompt either... what the heck is going on???

Try this at your own risk:

Use the Recovery Console

FIXMBR C:
FIXBOOT C:
COPY CDDrive:\I386\NTLDR C:\
COPY CDDrive:\I386|NTDETECT.COM C:\
BOOTCFG /rebuild


Finally reboot and hopefully that will fix the problem.

better than nothing... i guess thanx ill try it..
ive already had to format this computer like 6 times idk what to do with it ne more... always seems to be windows problems.. startin to hate windows.. to be quite honest..

System restore or last known good configuration? Can you get a hold on ERD Commander?

never heard of erd command.. and system restores never really work for me... and the last known configuration.. i doubt itll work..
