Burning a CD

I opened up nero recode and when to data files and added my 701mb .avi file. Now what? it wont let me click next

I burned it as a data file and it didnt work on anything

what do you mean by anything? it should play fine on your pc (as long as you got the needed codecs installed)

ya my pc worked fine from the start but it didnt work on my xbox or dvd player.

use nerovision to do it. you can export it to a file or burn it as a vcd

i dunno im still very confused, this is what i got so far

700mb AVI file...
1.25gb MPEG file - Converted from AVI file
80min/700mb CD-R disc thing.. ( I have more then one cds )

I just wana burn it and play it on my dvd player but im getting confused because people are telling me so many different ways =/ whats the straight forward easier way for a dumass like me

nero is aways the easiest, but it doesn't have the best quality. most people don't notice that though

Ok so i take it i gota burn the MPEG file NOT the AVI? And theres like 10 different nero programs that burn things i dont know which to use
