Question Browser Overload = Shutdown

Hi all - new at this / here.

I have browser probs. I'm running Avant over IE and recently the whole kit will just fold without warning - usually over a heavy upload like sending a yahoo mail with attachments.

I can't find the original post I found in my google search "My browser keeps shutting down" and it lead me to here (Somewhere) and the thead said to do a hijack this and post the findings. If some one could help I would be very grateful.

The Bronze.

Thank you Microbell for your responce.

I have done what you asked. Spy detected 138 sus components, 5 of which could not be removed until I have done a reboot which I cannot do until later today. I have to go to work in 15 min for a couple of hours.

Ad-aware6 with the latest update found an additional 130 which have been removed, hopefully without too many undesired side effects.

This is the latest Hijackthis without the reboot. Will check back later this arvo after the reboot and update the hijackthis list.

Thanks again.

Thanks Micro Bell.

I am at work at the moment but as I will not be using the home computer until the weekend I will leave it a short time until LOBO or another would also like to have a look.

I really appreciate your time and posting to help me with this.

Thanks

This is my latest 'Hijack this' of my system. It is a little more stable but has shut down 4 time in the last hour and a half browsing. A good thing about avant is that it quickly restores the pages I lost but it is still really annoying.

I have removed 'Navisearch' & 'Cashback' manually as Hijack this didn't really fix them. They were hard to get rid of. The Wizard questions were really tricky. The owners really dont want them removed.

Will be happy if anyone can add further suggestions on how to keep my browser stable.
