bridgehead server

question.
if there is only one preferred bridgehead server selected for a site, would it be OK to just reconfigure it not to be one?
will there be any complication by me reconfiguring this?

I would imagine that all the servers at that site would then try to replicate across whatever WAN connection you have, rather than going directly to the bridgehead server.

Or would another server perhaps self-promote to become a new bridgehead?

My recollection of sites is a little sketchy unfortunately.
