Hi,
I am trying to boot from my winxp disc so I can wipe my hardrive and install it again. I have my bios set to boot from cd drive first. However, when I try to boot from the disc after post, it comes up on the screen "Boot CD-Rom Type: No Emulation" Next Line: "INITIALIZING BOOT CD-ROM - QSI DVD-ROM". Thats all it says and it stays at tha screen and when i press enter the laptop reboots. I ahve used this disc in many other computers and its worked fine. The specs of the latop are: 1.3Ghz Intel Celeron, 256mb of ram, 20gig hardrive, Onboard graphics. And QSI DVD-ROM?
Any suggestions? Also the laptop tends to overheat quite frequently.
