Im currently running Windows 2000 here at work, I have a question.

When I alter my boot.ini, Im trying to set it up so it will boot off a directory we'll call Bob. So I add the c:\bob = "Test" to the boot.ini. Now, I want Bob to containt the boot disk files, from a common start up disk.. so I want it to enter Dos. I've gotten it to work off a computer that contained a Dos folder in the C:\ drive... and it would go to command prompt. But, if I copy said Dos folder to another PC over the network, and alter the boot.ini the same way.. .no luck.

Any assistance would be appreciated, thank you.

Have you tried using msconfig to alter it. If you use that click "Selective Startup" and modify the Boot.ini file from the boot.ini tab and then go back and click "Use modified BOOT.INI". Hope that helps.
