Question Boot Failure HELP

Hi, I have a hp pavillion xt412 laptop. When my computer boots up the screen freezes on the screen where I would enter my password. Everything shows except for the button you click to login. Also, I have function of my mouse. I pressed the reset button numerous times, took out the battery, restart the computer in recovery mode, normal mode, the last known good state, but no progress. In addition, i ran a diagonistic but it found no hardware problems or any problems at all. Finally, I tried to use the recovery disks and at first the disk wont take. By reading my computer startup guide, it said to press esc until a screen appears and than choose cd drive. I did this and the recovery started. After installing all 7 recovery disk there was no change when i restarted my computer, its still frozen on the screen you get before you get to the desktop. What can I do?
