Default Boot from CD, HELP

Im trying to install Windows Vista on my computer and and i put the cd in and i reboot my computer it starts up regulary with press DEL and F8 and i can access those so i know my keyboard works. then it says press any key to boot from CD. put when i press the buttons nothing happens my computer just starts up.

Why wont it boot from CD. I know my keyboard is working unless it just stops after the DEL and F8 part. any help would be great.

I know RC copies had to burnt to dvds. are you sure the media you have is a cd? can you browse the files on the media through my computer?

otherwise your boot order prolly has to be changed. when your computer starts up, it should display press XX to enter setup. after entering setup hunt for the boot order and set the machine to boot to the cd drive first
