Blue screen after installin sp 2

hi i am using xp pro and after installing xp sp2 when i switch my pc on it comes up with a blue screen. i can start up in safe mode but if in normal mode it say blah blah blah session5_intalization_failed stop:0x00000071.
i have tried re installing about three times any ideas please???

Try disabling write cache in bios.

Thanks for the advice will try it soon. what does the write cache do and when do i switch it back on? thanks again

Looks like you have your BIOS writing a cache (video probably) and Windows wrote something into that space allocated for the cache (which is something your mobo mf should have warned you about).

Boot caches help your machine initialize faster by keeping generated information somewhere so it doesn't have to be processed each time. Problem is, this sucks up some memory spaces, which the OS can't really "see" so you can run into conflicts. Your mobo manual should state a warning about this.
