Blocking websites using Browser properties

Hope you all are doing good today.

I have a question. If I want to block certain websites using a browser, how should I do it?

Note: If the computers are connected to a network: LAN

Operating System: Windows XP Professional
Browser: Internet Explorer 6.0

I'll appreciate any input.

go to tools,..then internet options,..then go to the security tab,..then configure from there. also set the advanced privacy settings in privacy tab to override automatic cookie handling...select accept first party cookies and block third party cookies...and select always allow cookie sessions.

Put the sites for ads in the restricted sites deal.
