blank window when i click on link

whenever i click on a link it opens a browser but doesnt actually open the page i have to right click then go to properties then copy the url and paste it into the address bar does anyone know how to fix it?¿?¿?¿

Ive got WinXP Home and Internet Explorer 6

uninstall and reinstall explorer...should clear it up.

ok well i reinstalled XP anyway (cause of a few other problems that my dad didn't like) and it works now but ill download it anyway in case i need it again
