Default bittorrent

whats the best and fastest bittorrent download utility. I have 256kbps broadband and currently im only getting 5.46KB

I think it doesn't really make a difference. I use Azureus.

i use azureus. 1.using all of your upload bandwidth kills your download speed. 2. being behind a closed firewall shuts you off from sources. both of these are not good. having them both is not good at all.

a good amount of people use bitcomet.

Im using BitTornado on 256Kbps ADSL and I'm getting around 28-30KB. It might be just the downloads. Check how many peers and seeds your connecting to. It takes a fair while to build up that speed though

i second bittornado! and it's not the client that makes it slow, it's the leechers and slow uploaders and slow seeders.

when looking at torrent files you want to see more seeders and less leechers, that means there are less leechers per seeders to take away bandwidth.

it usually takes me about a full minute to get up to speed which can be anywhere from a slow 5kbps to a blazing 300+kbps, it all depends.
