Default big goof in win2k

I'm no computer guru but I can usually hold my own, so my dad usually comes to me when he needs help with a computer at work or home. well he was working on a comp for a guy at his work today and somehow he set .exe files to be opened with excel and I am completely lost as to how to set .exe files back as an application. and like the title says its Win2k so there is no system restore or anything like that, so if you have any idea how to fix this, please let me know.

You can simply go into your Tools/Folder Options/File Types... you can select "New" and enter in Exe for the file extension... it will automatically set it to "Application"...

Your Welcome
