Default Best software that speeds up PC?!?!

my computer as start to run slow and very un-smooth and i was aondering what is teh best software available to speed up my PC to its best as much as possible?!

I'd recommend doing some simple routine maintenence. If you don't have them already, go get Ad-Aware (free version) and AVG Antivirus (free version, unless you have something better). Then give those a run. If you have any viruses or spy-stuff those should get rid of them. And depending on how long you've had that computer, you might want to try running a Disk Defragment.

It would be helpful to tell what OS you're running, though.

And for the Defrag:
Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Defragmenter
(I believe that works for most Windows versions)

The defrag might not help very much, but will probably take the most time.

Do you Norton system works ? speed disk, web cleanup, reg. editor, are all good at restoring and cleaning up your system. You might also try a registry cleaner also to clean up some old hanging files that are not necessary. How old is you PC ?

i have norton tuneup utilities and im more then glad i got that....... well my wife did lol

you can also install bootvis a program that would speed up your computer. ive been using it for a while. go for it.
