I use Mcaffee, the software is okay but the customer service sucks out loud. They have the habit of sending automated responses. I reformatted my machine and reinstalled Mcaffee virus scan, of course I had to re-register it recieve the updates. I re-registered it but, it wouldn't connect, or recieve any virus definitions. I emailed them, and a long story short

They suck, I'll never buy any of their products again.

Hey PhaleProof,

You said free. Not that the free antivirus programs aren't
getting better but you may find with the frequency that new
viruses are hitting the net that the small investment in a good
antivirus program is worth it. Do you really want to be pulling
your hair out for a couple of hours trying to figure out what's
wrong with your PC when it's infected with a virus the free
antivirus programs don't detect?

I like Norton Antivirus and a lot of the reviews regarding
antivirus programs support this opinion.

I personally have MacAffe. I Like it alot and it updates fine all by itself.

I do know that Symantec is usually faster with finding and identify virii though.
