Before I download AVG

Before I download the free version of AVG, do I need to get my comp scan for any viruses, trojans, spyware, etc. Or it does not matter?

i would think you would get AVG to do just that...

if you do have a virus already on your comp AVG will detect it after install...

It wont find spyware, though. So make sure you get Ad-Aware of Spybot
