Default Battle Between AMD and Pentium.

What AMD cpu would be equal to a Pentium 4 2.4ghz with a 800FSB.

the xp2400 or xp2500, both much cheaper than that intel.

Yes untill you don't run multiple complex softwares at the same time that give a lotta overhead to the processor....

Thinks would change with Athlon coming out with the 3700+.....

the Athlon XP's i think were tested against the P4's, and the AMDs had just a fraction less performance to the P4, but IMO the AMDs are much better value for your money
