a bad, bad, mistake

i accidentally deleted something inside of the system32 folder. i was looking for something, and just pressed the wrong buttons. i dont know what the folder was called.

the computer will boot ok.

what program will scan the system files, and check if anything is missing?

it did not tell me that anything had been replaced, but at least nothing is missing, and it did seem to take stuff off the xp cd.

doesnt that only effect installed/removed programs, rather than stuff you add or delete yourself?
