Default Backup program

I am looking for a free program that will allow me to zip a file and then burn it to cd-r disc. Can someone recommend a good, dependable program please? I appreciate any positive help.

Winrar (the trial version never ends by the way so it's free) to zip and windows (the utility is free if you already have windows) to burn as data.

Just burn the files directly to the CD-R.

My computer uses 1.5A-load, .8A-idle, .65A-standby, .05A-turned off on 125V.

Windows has a back up function built into it. I know the Business/Ultimate versions of Vista do. I believe XP Pro does as well. XP Home might, but I don't think so.

EDIT: XP Home does have a backup function, but it is not installed by default. You'd have to install it yourself.

Just go to and go to the backup section there. They have tons of programs.

Is anyone familiar with filefort with express burn plus? If so, does it always stay a free program?
