I have several program softwares purchased online and were download directly to my computer. Therefore, I do not have floppy discs or CD's for these programs. Now I need to reformat my HD. How do I back these files? Will it work by only copying the files that iare in the Program folder? Thanks

No that will not work for sure. Unlike a Macintosh where you can simply copy the program folder and your done Windows installs items in many places including the registry. Usually you can download the software and then all you would have to do is contact the vendor and have them give you a new licnese key and such. Maybe someoen will post a program that is specifically made to backup programs, but I couldnt find anythign that did this in the past. Sometimes I can get away with exporting all the registry keys and program files and have it work..but usually not :)
