Default AVI codecs...I think

I've been downloading some avi movies lately and I cant preview them, and sometimes can't even view them once their done downloading. I've been searching and trying different codecs all the time, and their not working. Im using Windows Media Player 10. Thanks for your help.

Download the latest DivX and Xvid codecs. www.free-codecs.com
They could also be compressed with some other encoder, but I only know of these two.

P2P user by what you said about preview it's sad you use such things but non the less DivX will solve your problems with viewing AVI films in media player.
