autostart on cd

Everytime I turn it of it just keep coming back!
How do I turn it of for good?

(Windows XP Professional SP1)

Another thing is why doesn't folder settings last, I want small icons in my folder but it will always change into large icons after a while.
And neither the positioning of folders will last for long.

you have to set "take no action" for each type of cd or dvd.
open up My Computer and right click on the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive and click on properties. then choose the AutoPlay Tab and choose the Take no action for EACH type of CD or DVD.


As for your folder viewing options....open up My computer and click tools > folder options > view tab. Once you make all of your changes under the advanced settings, click apply and then click on the button for "Apply to All Folders" and this will take the changes you just made for all of your folders.
