ati radeon 9200

Hi all,

I have installed a radeon 9200 on my system and for the life of me, cannot install the drivers for the video card. Can anyone help please. I've tried the add/remove programs and it claims to be there, but I can neither change nor uninstall it and I was trying to reinstall it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Oh one last thing: when I tried to install the graphics card, it gave the message:
"setup was unable to complete the installation. Try to set up your display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running setup"

Can someone please help me with this, thanks in advance to all replies.

try temporarily changing over the video card, put in an old PCI video card first then try and install the drivers while the Radeon 9200 is still in. if this doesn't work take out the video card, boot up and shut down again (to reset its knowledge of it being there), then put it in again and see what happens
