ASUS notebook with big PROB

I had bought this Asus P4 notebook last 7 months. At first, i was using XP Home..but aftEr i'm trying to upgrade for the winxp pro, my notebook getting slower...more slower when using this xp pro sp2 or even sp1. Anybody has solution...plz...big thanks...
