Default Anyway to do System Restore without logging on ?

I have a BIG problem with my pc (im on my dads) i installed AVG, rebooted and black screens as soon as i log in, i get about 5 seconds and not enough time to do system restore. Anyway can system restore without logging in ?

It also said on desktop background - You have fatal spyware on your pc, or something like that. Kinda ironic how i had just installed AVG

Didnt know wereelse to post this, fel free to move it.

Start by booting the system using the Safe Mode With Command Prompt option. Boot Menu button varies from computer to computer, refer to manual. After you log on, type the following command line at the command prompt:

%systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

Press [Enter], and System Restore will run as it normally does. You can follow the steps in the wizard to perform a restore operation.

you need to force it in to safe mode usually pressing f5 works before windows boots up then you get a menu to select windows boot up mode and select safe mode and then open system restore
