Default Any way to restore a deleted file?

In deleting unwanted software the other day I accidentally deleted Symantec for my antivirus software and now cannot update.
I can't find the CD, is there anything I can do to restore it?

Or if you deleted them out of your Reclining Bin, do a System Restore.

The only things i know to restore deleted things need to be installed before the deletion occurs, so pray its in your recycle bin

easy recovery pro may be able to help. But Time is of the essence.

there are also a host of other file recovery options, but ERP is the best IMHO.

I do know about the recycle bin, thank you!

It has been deleted from the recycle bin.

How do I do a system restore and what will happen when I do?

I dont think system restore will bring back that file....

As long as you didnt write over that sector (but if it was more then two days ago I would say you already did) you can bring it back with some software... I remember when my maxtor died I recoverd alot from it... Try out some of these programs:

http://download.com.com/3120-20-0.ht...ery&tg=dl-2001

I forgot which one I used, but I know it came from there...
