Default Any ideas for WMP issue?

I have a laptop here at work that when playing windows media files via Windows Media Player it will only play sound and not show video. I have tried removing/re-installing Windows Media Player 10 with no luck in change. Cleared out all temp files, temp IE files and history, all prefetch data and still nada. Also scanned for spyware and uneeded BHO's with no luck. Anything else I can try? I havent sat down and got dirty with it, but just want some info before I go in raw with no lube.thanks!-Vince

Odd thing is though it will play fine through firefox? User refuses to change from IE He is a Director in high power so I must respect his wishes and keep changes to a minimal. I will try the codecs, thanks!-Vince

Codec problem I think.

To be easier, you may install K-Lite Codec Pack Full to resolve almost all the problem arising from lack of codecs.
