Default Anti-Virus Software Help

Hey guys this is my first time being on this forum, I'm hoping to get some useful information to. I dont know what the best Anti Virus protection software there is, currently i have panda AV Software, but im thinking there are better Programs. I am on a budget of $50. lol im still in high school, just a game freak thats wants his computer to be safe, so please write back

I use Symantec Corporate 10 Edition but there is a free version og AVG that is supposed to be good, never used it thou.

This is a good online scan. It is free. I realize it does not run on your machine constantly, but good little tool for a quick scan.

I've been very happy with McAfee AV 2005. Don't like Symantec much - find that it slows me down. McAfee AV 2005 can be picked up for $49 at Staples or Business Depot! Try going to your local computer store, some will sell an OEM copy for like $20.

avg is the best. it is no longer free however. avast is 2nd best. it is still free
