this is the latest version of security update, the "October 2005, Cumulative Patch" update which fixes all known security vulnerabilities affecting MS Internet Explorer, MS Outlook and MS Outlook Express. Install now to protect your computer from these vulnerabilities, the most serious of which could allow an attacker to run executable on your computer. This update includes the functionality of all previously released patches.


System requirements Windows 95/98/Me/2000/NT/XP
This update applies to MS Internet Explorer, version 4.01 and later
MS Outlook, version 8.00 and later
MS Outlook Express, version 4.01 and later
Recommendation Customers should install the patch at the earliest opportunity.
How to install Run attached file. Choose Yes on displayed dialog box.
How to use You don't need to do anything after installing this item.

Hell, don't install anything you get through email unless your expecting it. Only use the MS website and windows update.
Micosoft doesn't distribute updates through Email.

One other thing, turn off VB extention support in your machine. It will stop most any virus/worm/torjan from running.

How do u turn VB Extentsions off

what is VB extention and how do you turn it off?

amd2000 that version of incremail require activation. I can't get it to work on my kids computer.

remove all of the subkeys of all the VBS, .vbs, and WSH keys in the HKeyClassRoot hive of the registry. Then change your email program to only show text, and not to use Active content. This changes the way most emails are seen, but it's much safer. if you rely on HTML/Richtext, then you need to use an email scanning program that removes code before it displays the message.
