I have a bit of a problem. I ran an executable (I know I'm an idiot) that I thought was legit, and according to my AVG 8.0 Internet Security program didn't contain any threats or viruses. Sadly that wasn't the case. As soon as I ran it I saw the command prompt pop up, some text flashed by and I was taken to a google web search for the world of warcraft sex video.

Now everytime I open IE or any other program I get an error message that pops up and tells me that my Windows Vista files are corrupted and I should download some antispyware software. It pops up about 5 times even while spamming the cancel button. So far the AVG hasn't found any malware or viruses.

Any idea what this could be?

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

Post your log for this scan in the analyze area:
