Angry annoying internet popups

I am using Win98 SE and have DSL internet connection. Problem is unwanted popups are coming like "kill popups" ads. I tried uninstalling of some net related software and disabled some startup items. but still popups are coming one by one and if I close one window another window opens. please give help to stop this.

I just wanted to add for your furture browsing enjoyment. Mozilla is easliy configured for blocking pop-ups and on IE I have installed the Google tool bar which is also awesome for blocking pop ups.

Google Toolbar is the best popup blocker. Although, Hijack this is also effective...well more than effective. I personally use both. But since you have 98 you will need yto upgrade your web browser to IE 6

Google is the way to go...yo

Pop-Up Stopper Companion is another great pop-up blocker. There is a free version, too.

I recently acquired Hijack This as mentioned by Mobo and it's great!
