Unhappy Animated GIFS saves as Bitmaps

Hi

Could someone tell me how to make my Computer save the Animated Gifs or any pictures that I save as on the computer Picture folder

It won't allow me to save the picture as anything other than a bitmap...


why is that and how to change it....??

Nah, you got the right forum.

When you go to save, choose "Save as Type" and select the type you want.

No .....

I don't have a Option

It only has BITMAP as the type of Image File

What is the problem

For Example...
I want to save a animated movie and I have to right click on the Quicktime logo to save it as a .movie file and I will ONLY save it as a BITMAP....there is no selection like it should be...

open the bitmat in a photo editor like paint shop pro or photoshop

then click file, save as

choose gif as type in the drop down box

I know how to do it the Long way...lmao

I have Photoshop CS and Photoshop 7....
thats not the problem

its a animated Gif...If I save it as a bitmap it's LOST

how can I save the image as it's current file....

you save it as "all files"

then you rename it with .gif at the end of the name.

or use firefox to download it.

Is it doing that for all media files? IE pictures and other movies?

If so, delete your cache in your internet browser. (In IE, tools > internet options > Delete files)
