well I was asking because AMD's "official" answer was it was supported on the 770, 790x, and 790FX so I was wondering before I considered a 790GX based board

Well, they did update it since then, so idk...

Try asking on their forums to double check... but why use AMD Overdrive? How about BIOS OC'ing?

well, it's not like I'm going to use it as my main source, nothing is better than going into BIOS, just thought I would be nice to be able to tweak little things without having to go through a full reboot, or just when I'm on the fly I could mess with this and that, it's not like I'd die without Overdrive support
