Debated on posting this here or in the Multimedia forum... guess which I chose. ;)

Anyway, I bought my wife an iPod Shuffle for her birthday. i want to load up some music for her. We already have a lot of her favorite stuff, so I only want to load what we already have. but I really don't want to use iTunes... something about iTunes makes my neck hairs tingle, gives me bad vibes, whatever. i just don't want to go there.

What are some good alternatives? I've never messed with an MP3 player, so this is new territory to me. Can I just drag and drop? Do the songs have to be in a certain format? Fill me in, and do it quick... I have to have this ready by Thursday evening.

For iPods...I don't think there's any other way than using iTunes (unless you can just convert them to iPod format [its either .acc or m4a...cant remember ATM] and drag/drop them...haven't tried). I'm not too sure, since I chose to stay away from iPods and got myself a Sansa =P.
