aim virus

of course im the next victim. i accidentally clicked one of the links that said "new beach pics" and the link was somewhere on comcast.
it was on someones away message

i thought i had got it off when i uninstalled the program which i think was yahoomsgr but im not sure

now im getting alot more popups but the main thing is that my keyboard will work then disconnect and not work then it will and so on, has anyone gotten this virus and know the best way to deal with it, also, would it work to do a system restore, what are the details of doing a system restore


any help is much appreciated

I was going to recommend avg but I can't find a free personal edition anywhere, guess they are not doing that anymore.
