After Format... No Operating System ?

hi can someone help me with this problem please...i formated the hard drive as normal...then when installing windows xp ...installs the first bit then it asks for restart i restart and xp cd loads up says esc to boot hard drive up i do that then says error no operating system detected ...please help

if i choose to install windows xp after done first bit it instals all over again then when restart it keeps coming up with that error no operating system detected = More better lool

EDIT= Comes up with this int13/02h read error ax= 0101, DL=80

Make sure you do not do a quick format. Do a full fresh format. See if that does anything.
