after bios screen white flashing cursor

hi all when i turn my computer on its bring ups the msi screen giving the option to go into bios and then the next screen is flashing _. I even have windsows xp disk in cd drive and sequence to check cd drives first.

stopzilla wanted a reboot so that what i did. I am running quad core 2.4 2 hard drives 2 cd drives xfx video card

any suggestions

i disconnected hard drive 1 at a time it seems bad hard drive not sure why windows disk didnt load thou

The bios does a self-check and then it looks for the components. It sounds like the bios is finding the "bad" Hard Drive and then it's waiting to identify it.

If you can, try doing a "chkdsk /f /r" on the drive that is "bad".
