i dont have a slow PC by all means it is enough to do all my tasks.
but recently i notticed that alot of webpages switching to animated ads and tonns of video content and repeating flash ads.

ITS FKN ANNOYING!!!!!!

i open 6-10 tabs in my explorer and i cant browse anymore my PC is freezing, takes like 10 seconds for a link to open
those 3-4 tabs with all the heavy animated/video content are taking up the top spots on memory and cpu use in task manager.
its ridiculous and very annoying.
what can i do to prevent those movies from downloading using internet explorer

please dont suggest firefox,im aware of that browser adn dont like using it...
iw like to know how can i improve the IE speed and usability

I would suggest using spybot search and destroy and check for adware first, I know IE gives pop ups but should be that many lol.

I don't know what your objection to Firefox is but if IE doesn't support blocking like this then your other options are opera or chrome really. I would say this is more of a windows/software question, so I'm moving it there.

Might want to try Ccleaner as well, and get rid of your IE cookies. I did the same on Firefox, and it helped greatly.

Just be sure you are not running IE when doing this.

i have antispyware and firewall.
there are some pages that are really heavy on graphical content(not porn)
this is an example
Fail Humor! | Funtasticus.com Humor & Fun Blog

i had about 5-6 of them open yesterday and maybe 2 more tabs with text in them
and my PC was completely shot i it would take like 30 seconds ot load the next page and i could not even move the mouse pointer.
once i close them its fine
to give you an idea of how i usually have it:
i have my camera recording on highest res all times
i have about 3-6 IE windows open with 5-10 tabs in each all different content( mostly text and some graphics)
and im still able to minimize it and play tron 2 at full resolution and highest graphics settings without skipping

You are expecting to do all that on THAT system? I'm sorry, but you have to get your head straight. 1gb of RAM WILL NOT DO ALL THAT...

oh its actualy upgraded, different mobo and 2 gigs of ram.
and it does it every day.
i restart it once a week or so and msot of the time i have those windows open for few days, sometimes weeks, when im doing research.
the only problem i had is with those embeded amimations and movies and crap

Adblock IE

Yes IE Does support AdBlock. ;)

Internet Explorer 8: Features

Look into that.

IE8 InPrivate filter from adblock plus list - dslreports.com

Along with that. Between AdBlock IE and the rules.xml for InPrivate Browsing you should be able to block most of the ads. Not all, but enough of them to help you out. Just have to remember to turn on the InPrivate Browsing or find the Registry Entry to have it on at all times.

What each of them said ^. In addition I would suggest you to run the Malwarebytes and give the log, just in case you were infected. I'm not pro in looking at logs but maybe Osiris can stop by and give it a look.

I have to agree, that's pushing your limits
Agreed with what they said ^.

And don't you think you're pushing it to the limits? Even if you upgraded and such, still is a lot to be handled there...is like killing your pc slowly :(.
