Adobe Acrobat Capture 3 question

My boss is telling me that he read somewhere online that an Adobe product can scan to pdf and apply a bates stamp on all the pages of the document versus just giving it a naming sequence for the file itself. I did a little research and found Adobe Acrobat Capture 3 but it says nothing about applying a bates stamp to every page.

Has anyone ever seen this or does this even sound remotely possible?

Do you know of any software that can scan to pdf and apply a bates stamp to the pages as it scans?
