Administrator Issue

On my dektop, I have only one account, mine. So obviously it is the administrator account. Today I tried to install a program and before it started to install it said I need to be logged in as an administrator or with admin rights. What's the deal with this? I know I'm logged in as administrator. Anybody got any ideas or solutions? Thanks.

try logging on with the admin account. log out. press ctrl+alt+del twice to get the logon screen. Type administrator and whatever pass you gave the account. Go check users and see if you install what you want.

Type administrator in the User Name space? Because I did that and it didn't work, even with the correct password.

Ouch. check spelling. try adding a new admin user from your logon and try to install program from there. Anyone else with access to this computer?
