Default Access Denied? Account Folder

hey,
i just installed winodws on my other hardrive and while im on this one, cuz the other hardrive got corrupted. i cant get into my account folder on that hardrive, maybe its because i have a password set to logon that account? but how can i get to those files i need to transfer them to my new hardrive and reformat.........so plz reply soon.

Yo,
i cant seem to find the use simple file sharing box to uncheck noo where to be found under the correct winder
its folder options view and uncheck use simple file sharing.....now where is such box!

If this is XP home it wont be there..you would have to boot into safe mode.

i used some kind o mod that added files to the sys32 folder upon reboot i can now access the security tab in xp, but..........i have to give access to the files one by one!!! even when i take ownership of the folder i have to do each file within it! help me unlock it all

replace ownership then replace all permissions after that.

that didnt work it still makes me do one file at a time even folders

when you take ownership the is a tickbox to cascade the changes to child items
