Hi ,

I use this DVD RAM before and I was able to just move files from my HDD on the DVD RAM directly , Now I get something that wasn't there before and I need to get rid of it. Whenever I move a file directly onto the DVDRAM It now says , ready for burning and the folder is faded out with a Arrow overlay icon pointing down. Also now windows puts the files in a temp folder (c: .... local settings/microsoft/CD burning) where they definately don't belong. How do I get my OS to work like it used to. Just let the files be copied or moved directly onto the DVDRAM. My DVD burner supports DVDRAM up to 4x so why is this happening.

I hope I have illustrated the situation well enough for you to understand, thank you for helping.

Regards
Ralph

You don't have the disc formatted for use as a ram drive. it's being treated as a normal writeable. Also, it sounds like you rebuilt or something and that you might have lost the software you were using.
