So i installed windows xp professional x64 bit edition. I did this for better speed and the fact that i'm running 4 gigs of ram and 1 gig gpu. After I installed this OS though it still reads only 3.25 gigs of ram. Did I do something wrong lol?

yes it does it's a gigabyte GA-K8N-Sli and it has an amd athlon 64. Check in the bios? what exactly would i be checking for in the bios?

I thought that meant it could only handle up to 4 gigs on the ram. I didn't think that would include my gpu and everything else. So it only reading 3.25 gigs of ram is normal?

No, your board supports 4GB of ram. It has nothing to do with video RAM. On my ASUS A8N32 I had to turn on "Memory Hole" in the BIOS. See if that's available in your BIOS.
