You shouldn't have to stop the services...

I would Right Click the My Computer Icon, Then select Manage.

Find Shared Folders / Sessions.

Disconnect All... Then shut down the machine.

Hey, Btw... What OS are you running?

Windows Server 2003?

It's Windows Server 2000

I'll do that at the end of business today and report back.

Thanks for the help.

Well, once again you are correct in your diagnosis. I went in and did a disconnect all sessions. It disconnected them all but one. So, I did it again to that one and it disconnected it. Shut down perfectly. So, now that I konw it's that and pretty sure it's that one session, how do I fix it? It was a guy's laptop that he leaves sitting on his desk and I'm sure it goes into hibernation or standby.

Thanks,
Andy
